וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִד֮ אֶל־מִיכַל֒ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּֽחַר־בִּ֤י מֵֽאָבִיךְ֙ וּמִכָּל־בֵּית֔וֹ לְצַוֺּ֨ת אֹתִ֥י נָגִ֛יד עַל־עַ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְשִׂחַקְתִּ֖י לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
Kata Daud kepada Mikhal, “Di hadapan Yang Mahakekal, yang telah memilih aku, bukan ayahmu atau siapa pun dari seluruh keluarganya, untuk mengangkat aku menjadi pemimpin atas umat Yang Mahakekal, atas Israel, di hadapan Yang Mahakekal aku akan bersukaria.
